STRESZCZENIE
Starzenie się jest procesem biologicznym, który prowadzi do zmian strukturalnych i funkcjonalnych w skórze, w tym do powstawania zmarszczek, zmian poziomu nawilżenia oraz zaburzeń równowagi ceramidów.
Celem badania była ocena serum zawierającego bakterie probiotyczne Lactobacillus plantarum ATCC 8014 pod kątem skuteczności w niwelowaniu zmarszczek, poprawy nawilżenia skóry oraz poziomu ceramidów. Przeprowadzono randomizowane badanie kontrolowane z udziałem 18 uczestników w wieku 30-60 lat, podzielonych na dwie grupy: w jednej stosowano serum z Lactobacillus plantarum, a w drugiej – preparat kontrolny oparty na glikolu propylenowym i glicerynie.
W grupie badanej odnotowano istotną poprawę w zakresie głębokości zmarszczek, poziomu nawilżenia skóry oraz zawartości ceramidów. Wyniki te sugerują, że szczep Lactobacillus plantarum ATCC 8014 może być potencjalnym środkiem przeciwstarzeniowym.

Anti-aging properties of the probiotic strain Lactobacillus plantarum ATCC 8014. Preliminary report
ABSTRACT
Aging is a biological process that results in structural and functional changes in the skin, including wrinkles, reduced hydration, and imbalanced ceramide levels.
This study evaluated the effectiveness of a topical serum probiotic containing Lactobacillus plantarum ATCC-8014 on wrinkle index, skin hydration, and ceramide levels. A pilot randomised controlled trial was conducted with 18 participants aged 30-60 years, assigned to either a treatment group using serum probiotics Lactobacillus plantarum or a control group using a serum with propylene glycol and glycerin.
Promising improvements in wrinkle index, skin hydration, and ceramide levels were observed in the treatment group. These findings suggest that Lactobacillus plantarum may be a potential anti-aging agent.
